Born and raised in Gulfport, Mississippi, John C. Clark became licensed to practice law in his home state in 2001 before moving to Texas. Prior to "seeing the light", John worked for a national law firm representing insurance companies and large corporations. His practice focused on cases under the Jones Act and Longshore Harbor Worker Act as well as toxic tort, professional malpractice, products liability, premises liability, commercial litigation and estate matters.
Now, John brings that expertise to representing people in these same cases against insurance companies and large corporations. John knew in his heart that his assertiveness and compassion would be better served representing individuals and families who have suffered personal injuries, wrongful deaths, contractual disputes and other claims. He understands how these companies think, their tactics and how they evaluate people's claims.
John obtained his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2000 from the Mississippi College School of Law and completed his undergraduate study at the University of Mississippi in 1995 with Bachelors of Arts in Journalism and English. During law school, John was granted admission to prosecute cases in the Rankin County Juvenile Court system and was a member of the Hinds County CASA Organization providing legal support to children and families of indigent means. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the State Bar of Mississippi, the Houston Bar Association, the Houston Trial Lawyers Association & the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. John also served a one year internship with the Harris County Attorney's Office in its Trial and Compliance divisions.
An avid reader and writer, John has been published in The Houston Chronicle, Sports Car Market, The Daily Mississippian and The Sun Herald.
