North Freeway Crash Leaves Two People Dead
HOUSTON – On Sunday morning, 2 individuals lost their lives in an accident that happened on the North Freeway near the North Loop at about 3:30 a.m.
Witnesses told that there was a vehicle stopped in the moving lane, according to HPD Sergeant Shantrice Maness. A person attempted to assist that vehicle and a white truck hit him after which the driver escaped.
Then another vehicle that attempted to avoid crashing in the stopped car hit the individuals standing beside it.
Both victims died at the accident spot.
Police are still searching for the suspect who was behind the wheel of a white truck.
