On Friday, a two-vehicle accident that occurred just outside of Gilmer, Texas, left one teen dead and 4 individuals severely injured, including 3 teens and a 23-year-old man.

19-year-old Haley Johnson sustained life-threatening injuries in the accident. 3 other teenagers who were travelling in the motor vehicle, 17-year-old Cameron Johnson, 17-year-old Alecia Allen, and 17-year-old Bailee Russell, who was behind the wheel, suffered serious injuries. The person behind the wheel of the other motor vehicle involved in the accident named Robert Frazier also sustained serious injuries in the accident.

The Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers responded to the accident that occurred on SH-154, almost 6 miles west of Gilmer in Upshur County. It was shown by the investigation of the accident that a 2013 Kia Soul, which Russell was driving, was going west on SH-164 and a 1991 Chevrolet 1500 driven by Frazier was going east on SH-154 in the westbound lane. Russell went left to avoid a collision and Frazier went right due to which both motor vehicles collided with each other.

Haley Johnson died at the accident spot.

Cameron Johnson was rushed to Longview Regional Hospital, Allen as rushed to Good Shepard Hospital, and Frazier was transported to Longview Region Hospital.
