Texas Woman Dead In Two-Car Crash On Route 1
SOUTH BRUNSWICK – A two-car accident that took place Thursday evening on Route 1 at 9:10 p.m. left a woman from Texas dead.
The serious crash happened on the northbound side of the highway. According to South Brunswick Capt. James Ryan, the road at the New Road intersection was closed for more than two hours as investigators looked into the crash.
Apart from the fatality, a man from Texas was also seriously injured in the crash. Both victims in the crash were believed to be in their late 60s. A juvenile was also injured in the crash. However, the juvenile was expected to recover from the injuries. More details about the accident were not available immediately.
Photos of the accident scene showed a four-door car with a wrecked front end that was abutting the cement center median. Both airbags of the vehicle were deployed.
