3-Car Wreck Near Andrews In West Texas Leaves 3 Dead
A three-car accident that took place near Andrews in West Texas left three people dead.
The incident involved a Jeep, a pickup truck and an 18 wheeler and happened at about 8:30 Saturday night.
The person at fault was the driver of the Jeep, who was identified as 32-year-old Steven Michael Bolton of El Paso. Michael failed to obey a stop sign at a rural intersection just east of Andrews, about 35 miles north of Odessa.
A pickup truck traveling on Texas Highway 176 struck the Jeep when it failed to obey the stop sign. Both the jeep and the pickup truck were then hit by an eastbound 18-wheeler.
The driver of the jeep was killed in the accident along with two people riding the pickup. They were identified as 43-year-old Douglas Patrick Irwin of Big Spring and his 15-year-old son Marcus Irwin.
The driver of the 18 wheeler did not sustain any injury in the accident.
