Off-Duty San Antonio Police Officer Dies In Crash

SAN ANTONIO – On Friday, a head-on accident happened which killed an off-duty San Antonio police officer; 2 children who were riding with him sustained serious injuries.

Bexar County sheriff’s spokesman James Keith told that the incident occurred in a northern part of the county.

The officer and the children were riding in an SUV which was travelling eastbound and the collision happened with a pickup truck that was going westbound. The officer died at the accident spot and the injured children were rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The name of the officer who died in the incident was immediately made public and it was confirmed that he was not on-duty when the accident happened which took his life.

The relation between the officer and the children riding with him is not known.

The person who was behind the wheel of the truck was in stable condition.
