Local Woman Faces Additional Charges After Video Surfaces Of Man Shot In Head

HOUSTON – 25-year-old Cassandra Nickcole Damper is facing additional charges after a video surfaced of her shooting a man in the head while playing with guns in a vehicle.

On Sunday, police responded to a shooting case that happened at the Valero gas station on Almeda Road near Southmore Boulevard around 2:25 a.m.

Damper was present there with a man and they were checking the guns they had when she accidentally fired due to which the man sustained a gunshot wound to his head.

He was rushed to Ben Taub Hospital in serious condition.

Both of them were taken into custody for an investigation and Damper attempted to destroy the proof by wiping off any gunshot residue that may have been present.

She has been charged with aggravated assault bodily injury and tampering with evidence along with other charges.

It was confirmed by family members that the victim is now in stable condition.
