Major Accident Shuts Down Westbound Lanes Of Katy Freeway
HOUSTON – A fatal accident that took place around 6:15 p.m. near Barker Cypress road shut down all westbound lanes of the Katy Freeway Saturday evening.
Video moments sent by a KHOU 11 News viewer showed a major accident where one car was seen turned over on the freeway.
Other drivers on the road pulled over and ran towards the overturned vehicle to assist those inside.
According to reports, traffic was backed up for hours, all the way to Highway 6, and was diverted to the HOV lanes.
