Darvin Kidsy, the North Texas wide receiver, was arrested Friday morning after he turned himself in to the authorities in connection with a hit-and-run accident.

The Denton police reported that Kidsy was the driver of a car that was involved in an accident causing serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

A second suspect involved in the incident is still not known and police is searching for him. However, it is unclear if that person is a member of the football team or not.

In a statement given by North Texas athletic director Rick Villarreal he said, “The athletic department has been made aware of the arrest of a member of the North Texas football team, although the information available to us is limited. Based on my knowledge, it wouldn’t be prudent for me to comment any further.”
