One Person Dead After Overnight Car Accident On Texas 288

According to police reports, an overnight car crash that happened on Texas 288 North near Beltway 8, left one individual dead.

The crash occurred on Friday at about 3 a.m. The investigation took multiple hours, and as a result, the debris was cleared around 8 a.m. All northbound lanes were shut down for hours. No vehicle other than a red sports car was involved in the crash.

At around 7 a.m., the car was extracted from the area after which Texas 288 was opened again.

It is believed that the car jumped a freeway guardrail and hit a large light pole. A video of the incident shows that the vehicle had handicapped plates. The individual who was behind the wheel died at the spot.
