Texas County Accident Leaves Two Dead

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 2 individuals died on Sunday night in a two-vehicle crash that happened in Texas County after a 15-year-old driver lost control of a motor vehicle on an ice-covered bridge and came into the way of a U-Haul truck.

15-year-old Alex Greuter and 37-year-old Patricia Wiest, both of Cabool, were pronounced dead on the accident spot on U.S. 63, five miles north of Cabool, told the highway patrol.

15-year-old Aleena Kaltenberger who was driving the motor vehicle was rushed to Texas County Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries. All 3 were wearing seat belts when the accident happened.

Around 7 p.m., Kaltenberger was travelling north on U.S. 63 when she lost control of the car she was driving on an ice-covered bridge. A southbound U-Haul driven by 46-year-old Kimberly Haney hit the motor vehicle in the passenger side.
