Three People Killed Sunday Evening In Two-Vehicle Crash On Highway 288 In Houston
HOUSTON, TX – According to Houston TranStar, 3 individuals died in a two-vehicle crash that occurred on State Highway 288.
The lanes were closed as the police had to investigate the accident and there was debris to clear. The timing was 4:50 p.m. and the location was 9100 South Freeway.
37-year-old Larry James Williams was behind the wheel of a black Dodge Ram pickup truck and was driving at a high rate of speed. When he was in the exit lane to Reed Road, he drove into the main lanes and hit a yellow Chevrolet Aveo. The Dodge slipped on its side after the collision.
The person behind the wheel of the Aveo died in the accident. He was not alone in the vehicle. His mother-in-law and a kid, who was just 2-year-old, also died as they were also traveling in the Aveo. They all died at the accident spot. The driver’s wife was the only individual who survived the accident and was rushed to the hospital. It is expected that she will get well soon.
There were 3 passengers riding in the Dodge. Luckily, they didn’t sustain any injury.
According to the cops, Williams was not appearing impaired but was charged with possession of marijuana.
Police are still investigating the crash.
