KIOWA COUNTY, Okla. – 25-year-old Julie Fanning of Hobart died on Tuesday as a result of the injuries she sustained in an accident that took place last week.

According to the accident report, Fanning caused the crash when she hit an SUV head-on on State Highway 44. She crossed the center line and went into the on-coming traffic. Her car was pinned in the wreckage and she was taken to a hospital for treatment of her injuries. She stayed at the hospital since the accident and died on Tuesday.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that six people were travelling in the SUV who were all taken to the hospital for treatment. Five of the victims were released from the hospital after treatment. The sixth victim, who was a five-year-old child, was treated for spine and pelvis injuries and was reported to be in stable condition.
